Greetings Oddlings...
I have a new lady to add to my growing collection of shrunken heads. Mama Guntu is nestled on palm fibers with a background of authentic vintage tapa cloth from the South Pacific. She is very sweet and gentle.
I have decided not to do Comic Con this year. I need a short break to regenerate after last year. My next convention will be Conjecture in October. More lovely strange creations to be unveiled soon...
Welcome to Ossa Obscura...where dark and curious oddities await behind a veil of pipe tobacco and fog.

Shrunken Heads
Greetings Oddlings...
I am now settled in my new home and am having a wonderful time furnishing it with one of a kind bits and pieces, as well as frantically collecting items for the Gaslight Gathering Steampunk Convention (May 2 -4)
My latest piece is a shrunken head of a mysterious Shaman. His name is Nombhula. He will be displayed in a beautiful shadowbox...to keep any stray tendrils of magick from escaping.

Updates and Such
Greetings All...
Well it has been an interesting year of challenges and changes...with more to come in the next month. My studio is currently on hiatus until the changes occur but I have some amazing oddities planned for both the Gaslight Steampunk convention in May and Comic Con in July. Lots of beautiful and strange creatures displayed in weathered shadowboxes, ornate and distressed crosses, and one of a kind jewelry and medals.
I am most excited about the creatures...Fiji mermaids, mandrake roots, mummified faeries and mythological animals. If you enjoy filling your home with odd, crumbling dead things...this is the place for you!

Icky
I must introduce you to our dear child...Icky. He is very sweet, although a bit clumsy. He waddles about the cottages and has a little spot where he can keep an eye (well...eye socket) on me. We hope to have more children in the future, as Icky would love someone to play with. For now...he is our baby.
Autumnal Musings
Greetings Shadow Children...
I am feeling positively giddy. It is a beautiful cool Fall morning. Dawn is creeping up over the horizon. My energy explodes during this time of year. I wilt and fade in Summer and dream of the season's turn to the darker side. I love the scent of dying leaves and the dry dust of the earth. I wait all year for Halloween and Dia de los Muertos to arrive.

Crosses and Oddities
I've made several new crosses lately and some shadowbox oddities...all scheduled to be available at the Conjecture Convention, October 18, 19, 20 at the Town and Country hotel in San Diego. Whatever doesn't sell there, will be going into the Gaslight Gathering Steampunk Convention next May. I love making these items. It gives me great joy to create oddly beautiful things.

Order of the Winged Scarab
I am fascinated by Secret Societies...those dark and shadowy schools of mystery. I am creating objects for a local science fiction and fantasy convention - Conjecture - and some of the items will be things that relate to these Societies. This cross - Order of the Winged Scarab - is my creation of a Society that might have existed in the 1800's. I like embellishing with Egyptian motifs as well as stars and keys...all relative symbolism to the time period.
