A Comicon Thank You

I have survived another San Diego Comic Con! This one was not easy. The art show was moved last minute to an off-site location 3 blocks from the Convention Center. The signage was minimal for directing people to the new location. We were made to feel like the forgotten stepchildren. That being said...the staff and volunteers of the art show were outstanding. They did their best to help the artists with these challenges. And by some odd twist of fate,  I sold more this year than I ever had in the past. Perhaps because it was open to the public.

I want to thank all of the people who made it to the Art Show and also to those who purchased my art. I hope the piece speaks to you and brings you as much joy to have it in your space as it did for me to create it. Blessings...

Pinterest

For those of you who would like to see larger images of my art, please go to my pinterest page: Assemblage Art of Georgina Ferenz. I am posting art there more than here because I think the format is better. Thank you!

Demeter

I have returned to making altars again in preparation for the 2017 Comic Con. I received a serendipitous gift of hundreds of tiny pewter jewelry bits. I made Demeter as a thank you gift for the friend who gave me these items. Demeter is the Greek Goddess of grain and the harvest as well as the renewal of growing things. I always try to show gratitude for anything I receive that helps me in my art. Gratitude in general is a way of life for me. Being thankful for the good things in life makes us aware of our surroundings and situations.
